LSH RARING TO GO!
LSH’s preparations for the return to North One rugby got off to an overwhelming start with nearly one hundred players turning up to the first practice session in July. The club is fully backing the “Go Rugby” national initiative and now with four senior sides and two Colts teams as well as Minis at all age groups - all are welcome at Moss Lane.

Kearns captain for second season
Director of Rugby Paul Woodward has announced that Phil Kearns is to captain the side for a second season. The 28 year old number eight played a pivotal role in last year’s promotion winning side and is rewarded once again. “Phil did an excellent job last year as a leader, as a motivator and as a player” said Woodward “and I fully expect his performance to improve for that experience.”

New signings
The club continue to strengthen the squad for the coming season and have signed Ashley Worsfold and Mark Dickinson both backs formerly with North 2 West outfit Tyldesley. LSH also expect to formally confirm the signing of Brian Makhaza in the next few days. South African Makhaza was one of the few successes at Orrell last year and is equally at home as a fly half or full back.
