MJS:  VISION - VALUES - PRINCIPLES

The MJS Committee utilises a strategy based on Vision, Values, Underpinning Principles and Key Objectives in order to deliver the best experience and outcomes for the playing children, the supporters and the club itself.

VISION

To be the most thriving mini and junior section in the region.

Enabled through:

· Building on solid foundations where every child matters.
· Giving priority to child safety, diversity and inclusivity.
· Supporting young rugby players to reach their full potential.
· Encouraging parental/guardian involvement and support.
· Developing and utilising the best coaching staff and playing facilities to help sustain the great tradition of rugby at the club.
· Officials living the MJS Values.

VALUES

We will “live the values” in everything we do and say:

· Inclusivity - Every Child Matters, diversity is encouraged
· Honesty and Transparency - Equity and fairness is applied in all our activities
· Sustainability - The section is financially viable and has a wider responsibility to the greater rugby club

UNDERPINNING PRINCIPLES

Our underpinning principles aim to realise our values:

Safety
· We strive to ensure mini and junior player safety is considered at all stages in training and matches.
· We strive to ensure everyone who works with children is CRB checked.
· We strive to ensure a qualified first aider is available for each team.
· We strive to ensure all of our coaches are qualified.
Inclusivity
· We strive to ensure as many children as possible have an opportunity to play rugby.
· We strive to provide such opportunities for all children regardless of age, sex, race, disability or religion.
Honesty and Transparency
· We make decisions for the benefit of the wider club.
· We have a two way relationship with the main Committee with a mutual understanding of the benefits of each to the other. 
Sustainability
· We base financial decisions on sound business sense.
· We strive to develop adult rugby players who will play at LSH.

KEY OBJECTIVES

In order to deliver our vision for the club we aim to:
 
· Develop teams at each age group for boys and girls.
· Grow the section each year.
· Deliver a small surplus for reinvestment at the end of each year.
· Utilise qualified coaches at each age group.
· Appoint a manager at each group.
· Ensure CRB checks as appropriate/determined by the Child Welfare Officer.
· Raise funds by having at least 4 social/fundraising events each year.
· Continue to develop the pipeline of senior players and grow year on year the number of 'ex' junior section players who play senior rugby at the club.
· Provide and launder kit for each team, based on a small player contribution.
· Grow the number of parents/guardians involved in the management of the club over the next 3 years.
