It may not have turned out to be the League campaign that the Moss Lane Faithful had hoped for, but no-one who has followed the fortunes of LSH this season can take issue with the competitive nature of the matches and in particular, the number of tries seen at Moss Lane.

So it proved on Saturday when LSH came off second best against Littleboroigh by 6 tries to 8.

A highly entertaining game reached half time with the visitors 22-12 in front with LSH’s tries coming from Alex McClurg and Paddy Royle. LSH then enjoyed a purple patch running in four tries to one, with the scores coming from the impressive Jordan Gibson (2), Matt Cunliffe and one from promising young winger Sam Walker to lead 36-27. Gibson successfully converted three of the tries.

The visitors, however finished much the stronger scoring three more tries in the last fifteen minutes for a deserved win.

This Saturday LSH travel to Aldwinians for the Semi Final of the M J Worsley Lancashire Leagues Cup. Kick off 3pm.
